Ccpur police arrested two

Imphal, Oct 12: Ccpur police said today  after a series of investigation that they have caught 2 person believed to have involved in the incident who threw a hand grenade inside the compound of Chinkhokam @ C Hangshing MCS, Addl DC/Ccpur & Project Director/DRDA of Lower Chapellane, Churachandpur on Aug 25, 2012 around 7.30pm injuring his younger brother H. Nengkhanpau(50) and his three and half years old grand daughter Baby Thiankim .

Thanghao Haokip (37)  from Soungphal village, presently staying in Laijon Veng,Tuibuong and Lunminthang Kipgen (32) of T. Champhai were caught by the Police and through interrogation they said that KNLF leader promised them to give Rs. 10,000 and a Diesel auto if they threw a hand grenade inside C. Hangshing compund. As promised the KNLF already paid them Rs. 10,000 and they didn’t get the Diesel auto till date. Police filed FIR No. 86( 8) 2012 CCP-PS U/S 400/307/326/34 IPC & 3 of Explosive Substances Act and the 2 suspect will be trial on Oct 12, 2012 in Imphal JCM court.

Police today morning caught Lunkhongam @ Ngangam (28) s/o (late) Ngakholun of Ukha Tampak involved in throwing a handgrenade in C hangshing compound. The 3 apprehend stand trial on CJM court today as per the court order they were to stay under police custody till oct 17, 2012. Police register FIR No. 86( 8) 2012 CCP-PS U/S 400/307/326/34 IPC & 3 of Explosive Substances Act against those 3 arrested.
