Home Minister for developing health facilities

IMPHAL, September 29: The 2nd Joint North Eastern Zone Annual Conference (NEZACON) 2012 and the Annual Conference of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Manipur State Branch was held today at Jubilee Hall, RIMS.

The occasion was graced by Gaikhangam, Home Minister, Manipur as the Chief Guest together with Prof. N.B. Singh, MLA and Prof. S. Sekharjit Singh, Director, RIMS as the Guests of Honour and Dr. Anjan Datta, Honorary President, ISA National as the president of the function.

The conference was also attended by delegates not only from Manipur but from outside the State as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Gaikhangam expressed his wishes to the organizing team that the conference will be a success and that it will be a platform where latest development in anaesthesiology will be discussed.

He explained that anaesthesiology have changed the dynamics of surgery and requested the Director of RIMS to increase the seats for studying anaesthesiology.

He is also expressed the importance of developing medical facilities in Manipur so that people will not have to leave for the cities to get treatments instead it should create an environment that will bring people here for treatment.
