ZUF remebers Haipou Jadonnang
Imphal, Aog 30: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) observes the 81st Haipou Jadonnang death anniversary by paying a floral tribute to the freedom fighter of Manipur yesterday.
The death anniversary of Haipou Jadonnang was observes at the Council headquarter of ZUF in the interior district of Tamenglong.
During the observation ZUF chairman K Kamson said in his chief guest speech that the forefather of Zeliangrong has fight for the sake of its people who ever try to dominate on Zeliangrong land and people.
Our forefather has been fighting for the freedom of Zeliangrongs people which they dream for but could not materialized, it’s a time for us to fulfil the dream of the forefather said Kamson.
The chief of army Zenchui Kamei said to the media person on the sideline of the programme that ZUF don’t have any hidden agenda against the Government of India (GoI) nor to Government of Manipur (GoM).
ZUF is not against any government or organizations, indeed we are thankful to the GoI and GoM for there kindness.
Many people think that ZUF is just a gang or formed to break the integrity of India which is totally baseless and unfounded.
ZUF aim and object is to protect the land, culture, natural resources of Zeliangrong only said the army chief, who have strength of around 300 arms cadres.
A Ramroi, join secretary and who is also in-charge of general secretary ZUF, said that Haipou Jadonnang the pioneer freedom fighter of Zeliangrong was captured by the British for waging war against them and hanged to death on this day.
Conveying a message to the general public of Zeliangrong communities that ZUF is following the foot steps of Haipou Jadonnang, so the public should not be mislead by a false propaganda spread by some one said Ramroi.
The cadres of ZUF give respect to the Haipou Jadonnang by carrying out a marching parade.
