Trinamool youth front to take active role in social issues
IMPHAL, Aug 4: Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Youth Front is geared up to take active roles in social issues of the state pertaining to education, sports and culture.
Addressing media persons today at the Information Centre of MPTCYF at New Checkon, president P Premananda Meitei stated the youth front of MPTC was constituted on June 28 with 10 vice-presidents, 13 general secretaries, nine secretaries, one treasurer and four executive members after getting an approval from the party’s high command. The members of MTCYF are well represented from all districts of the state and they will take active roles in the state and national issues.
As a first programme of the MPTCYF, one-day political conference will be organized tomorrow at Irengbam under Bishnupur district. All MLAs of Trinamool Congress will take part in the political conference. More political conferences will be held at Moreh and Tengnoupal under Chandel district in the second week of August.
Free medical camps will also be organized along with distribution of rice, sugar, SK Oil and exercise book to the students.
President Premananda also decried the growing tension in the distribution of old-age pension in Thangmeiband assembly constituency.
