KYU executes town beautification program, wishes Mary Kom
KANGPOKPI,
Aug.4: The Kangpokpi Youth Union executes Town Beautification Programme by
planting 1000 Gulmohor sapling today at Kangpokpi. Around 200 individual took
part in the plantation programme.
Member
of Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organisation, Auto
Association, Kangpokpi and Kangpokpi Youth Union participated in the plantation
programme.
Plantation
of the said sapling starts at Zonal Education Office Complex Kangpokpi via
District Council Kangpokpi and proceeds toward NH-2 and ended at ADC, Complex
Kangpokpi in the presence of ADC, Kangpokpi H. Rupachandra Singh.
Speaking
on the sideline of the town beautification programme, general secretary of
Kangpokpi Youth Union Lien Kipgen said that, in view of the town
beautification, the KYU took the initiative part in executing plantation of
Gulmohor sapling inside the town. Prior to the plantation programme
notification were given to all heads of Department (Govt. office in Kangpokpi)
for their participation. As expected though some department failed to turn up
most of the heads of department took participation in the plantation programme.
We are very thankful for their co-operation said Lien.

Kipgen also said that, in view of the town beautification programme, prior to
this plantation notification were served to all hotel(s) owner of Kangpokpi to
keep the hotel neat and tidy, keep good manner in dealing with customer(s) and
use water filter for safety.
He
also said that, the KYU is planning to execute more effective town
beautification programme in the coming days.
Inf.
& Pub. Secretary Mr. Ginna Hangshing informed that, the saplings were
donated by Divisional Forest Officer, Kangpokpi. The Auto Association,
Kangpokpi also donated two diesel auto for transportation of the sapling to the
work site while ADC, Kpi Shri. H.Rupachandra Singh, NYK, Youth Co-ordinator RK.
Singh, Mrs. Ngahchong Kipgen, ZEO,Kpi, Horticulture department provided
refreshment.
On
the other hand, the Kangpokpi Youth Union also wishes the 5 times world women
boxing champion MC. Mary Kom, who is also a delegate of London Olympic, 2012
from Manipur a grand success in the game.
