HM Gaikhangam dissatisfies with Police Training Centers' management

IMPHAL, June 13: Home Minister Gaikhangam today inspected Manipur Police Training College, MPTC and Forensic Science Labrotary, FSL and had clearly shown his displeasure at the management of the police training college.
Speaking at the MPTC Multipurpose Hall Minister Gaikhangam said, for those who are in the active service, discipline is a must and added that all those involved in the training for active service should incorporate into themselves the virtues of discipline, loyalty and sacrifice.
“Without disciple one cannot succeed”, he added.
He said he will look into the inadequate infrastructures and other necessary items of the MPTC and try to improve the college at the earliest.
The Minister said that it would be not be proper to say that the complex and its facilities are substandard, however he acknowledged that there are certain areas which need proper attention.
He also expressed the need for more funds for the development of the infrastructure.
The government will also look to improve the FSL is a priority of the state government. The institute has dedicated machineries installed at the complex and needs proper environment.
He said other than buildings, electricity is also needed to maintained the complex.
He had inspected the barracks, hospital, kitchen, dining hall, store, canteen and Forensic Science Laboratory.
Regarding the power supply of the college he said, the government will consult the concerned department regarding the provision of a dedicated power supply.
