Three Kuki militants gunned down by combined team of security forces
Imphal, December 11: At least three militants were shot down by a combine team of AR and Commandos on Wednesday and recovered a huge arm from the slain body said a police source.
Today at about 5:30am an encounter broke out between a combine team of 21 Assam Rifles para troops under 15 Assam Rifles and Thoubal police commandos with KNF-N in a hill region some 2 km from Bungbal Khullen, Sadar Hills, Senapati district but under the police station of Yairipok.
The fierce gun fight broke out when the combine team of security forces were approaching the said site after getting a specific information about the present of heavily armed UGs in the said area and they were fired upon said the police source.
Though the three slain cadres of KNF-N cannot be established till the filing of this news report the police has recovered one Carbine, one AK-56 rifles, one M-16 and one G3 rifles near the bodies of the militants added the source.
The death bodies of the three militants are yet to reach JNIMS morgue till the filing of this news report.
