Manipur police in Chandel celebrate advent Christmas
CHANDEL, December 7: The Chandel Police celebrated its 1st Advent Christmas Celebration at the station located in the district head quarter along with the public here in Chandel today.
Distinguished guest and invitees attending the function organized by the Police station of Chandel included CNPO president and his colleagues, chairman of Maha Area Chiefs’ Association Chandel, president Naga Chiefs’ Association Chandel, village chiefs and pastors among others.
Officer in Charge of Chandel Police Station Inspector Md. Chaoba and second Officer in Charge Sub-Inspector Timothy Ronamai were among the senior police officers on dais.
Senior Police officers of the district including SP E Priyokumar IPS, Addl SP Chandel Luichumthing Ragui, MPS and SDPO Chandel Lunkhomang Khongsai MPS who were supposed to speak on the occasion as per the scheduled programme were however absent due to their emergency official work.
SI Angpu Anal presented a beautiful scarf and bag each to all distinguished guest and invitees on behalf of the police, as a token of love and to mark the event of the first celebration.
Pastor of Japhou Baptist Church Licensed Sh Shrimon in his speech as the speaker of the function spoke on the importance of Christmas and why it is celebrated.
Gabriel Chinir, Sng Lumdil and SR Mote were among the speakers of today who spoke on the occasion. The entire programme was entertained by guest artiste including T Joyshila Maring and Thethem Guite.
