Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 58 Batch of Probationer Nurses Conducted at Army Hospital

New Delhi, December 5: Lamp lighting ceremony of 58 batches of Probationer Nurses of College of Nursing was held at Army Hospital (Research & Referral) here today. The ceremony witnessed the 30 budding nursing students adorn the uniform to begin their journey in the noble profession of Nursing.

Dr. Josephine Little Flower, Nursing Advisor to Govt. of India was the guest of honour and she delivered the Florence Nightingale Pledge to the new entrants in this profession.

Chief Guest for the ceremony, Lt Gen AS Narula, Commandant Army Hospital (R&R) gave away the prizes to the meritorious students. He stressed that the students should not only enhance their knowledge, skill, competence but also learn the techniques of soft skills.

In an impressive ceremony, the lit lamp was passed from the teacher to the taught emphasizing the passing of knowledge & soft skills from one generation to the next.
