Charity program in aid of Sadar Hills Orphanage Children Home
KANGPOKPI (KANGPOKPI), December 7: The second Charity Program in aid of Orphanage Children Home in Sadar Hills at Keithelmanbi Community Hall was held today organized by Agape Orphanage Home Kanggui.
Haokholal Hangshing, chairman ADC Kangpokpi donated financial assistance to the Orphanage children through Tongpao Lhouvum, retd chairman, Keithelmanbi Village Authority who attended the occasion as functional president.
In the meantime, Nengboi Lhouvum, chairman Keithelmanbi Women Union and Rev Tongjam Haokip, chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowships attended the function as orphans mother and minister respectively a part from other local reverends, pastors and the general public.
Tongpao Lhouvum, the functional president also released a book of short stories basically based on the life story of an orphanage children in Thadou-Kuki dialect publish by Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi entitled "Sahei Story Book" Vol-I&II.
Orphans Mother, Nengboi Lhouvum stressed on the importance of social leaders, churches, civil bodies and the general public a part from the parents and guardian of an orphanage childrens in moulding them(the orphans) for their bright and respectable future.
Rev.Tongjam Haokip conducted the blessing session for the orphanage children and dedicated the altar received from the public for the orphanage children.
Cultural dance and hymns of gospel from various artiste marked the occasion.
While extending its heartfelt gratitude to all particularly the host village including the VA, Women Society and Youth wing for their sympathetic efforts for the success of the program the Organizing Committee chairman Lamkholen Kipgen said that the third Charity Program will be held at Gamnom Community Hall Sapormeina on December 14.
