Police register a case against ATSUM (T)
Imphal, November 16: Manipur Police has registered a case against All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) led by Thangzamuan Tombing said a police source on Saturday.
According to police official source that the Tamenglong police has registered a case under section 353/506/511 IPC at Tamenglong police station on last Nov. 13 2013.
The case has been taken up as suo-moto against ATSUM (T) for threatening the workers and official to cease the works of the National Railway Project by the volunteers of ATSUM (T) in their work place between Jirbam-Tupul.
Tamenglong police has been hunting for the volunteers and the leaders of the students’ union since the case has been registered added the police source.
It can be noted here that ATSUM (T) has banned the construction of National project in the hill district of the state since Nov. 11 under a code name Reckoning Of The Other (ROTO).
