Police join hand with civil organizations to set 700 ‘Lagao dices’ on fire at Pallel
IMPHAL, October 29: In an act of controlling ‘Lagao’ (gambling) during the festive season of Diwali, Thoubal district police and the Pallel police in cooperation with several woman organizations of Pallel area have seized 700 numbers of Lagao dices during the past five days.
The dice cubes were today publicly set on fire at Pallel bazar.
General secretary of Ching Tam meira paibi, Lallam Mate expressed that considering negative effect of Lagao amongst the local people, the drive was organized in the Pallel area; she further appealed to the general public to join the movement.
