Two students missing

IMPHAL, April 27: The family members of two school going students have demanded for their release while addressing a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today.

Y Shanti, the mother of the one of the student identified as Yumnam Kabita (18) of Kumbi Laingoubi along with another girl from the same locality identified as H Pinky (name changed, 15) daughter of H. Ranbir and a 10th standard student of Sagang High school said that on 22nd April, her daughter along with Pinky went to Moirang Bazaar to buy some cloth but did not return back. She added that all efforts to trace the girls have not yielded anything and that the mobile phone numbers of both the girls were in switch off mode.

She further disclosed that on the day that both girls had gone out, her own daughter had a phone conversation with one Arun Magang from Bishnupur and added that they had filed a complaint over the matter with Kumbi police station.

Y Shanti further appealed to all to find the whereabouts of the two girls at the earliest and appealed to all, including underground groups to release the two at the earliest if the two have been recruited by them by looking at the hardship faced by the family of the two girls.
