Wins for both state men’s and women’s team

IMPHAL, November 23: Both men’s and women’s Sepaktakraw teams have registered easy wins against their opponents in the team event of the 23rd Senior National men and women Sepaktakraw Championship which commenced from today at the Lal Bahadur Indoor stadium, Hyderabad.

The state men’s team defeated the Nagaland team by 3-0 regu (15-5, 15-6), (15-11, 15-11), (15-11, 15-13). The team later on defeated the Orissa team by 3-0 regu (15-6, 15-4), (15-6, 15-4), (15-4, 15-1).

In the women’s team event, the Manipur girls’ defeated their Goa counterparts by 3-0 regu (15-7, 15-3), (15-3, 15-2), (15-1, 15-8).

Eight teams each are participating in the men’s and women’s team event.

In the men’s team event, the state team has been grouped with Nagaland, Orissa and SSB; while in the women’s event, the state girls are grouped with Goa, Maharashtra and AP.
