UG suspects arrested along with cash

IMPHAL Nov 26: A team of Imphal West CDO arrested one active member of RPF/PLA from Thonju Part 2 Nameirakpam Leikai on November 25 around 3:30 pm, said a police statement.

It has further identified the arrested person as Thongbam Debendra Singh alias Tayaima, 53, son of Th Ibochouba Singh of Thongju Part 2 Nameirakpam Leikai.

It further added that an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh was recovered from his possession.

Meanwhile, on November 24 another active member of PREPAK was arrested from Thangal Bazar near Yaima Store, continued the statement.

The arrested person is identified Nameirakpam Hemen Meitei, 45, son of (l) N Chaoba Meitei of Bashikong Mamang Leikai, it said.

The statement further said a sum of Rs 5 lakhs was recovered from his possession.
