Children’s Day cum Prizes distribution

KANGPOKPI, Nov.24: The Agape Christian English School, Kangpokpi observed Children’s Day cum 3rd Annual Sports Prizes distribution day in its Campus at Kangpokpi Ward No.11 today.

The special occasion was attended by Shri. Maj. Marathe, CO 14 Assam Rifles, Kangpokpi post as Chief Guest while Lammang Kipgen and Seiminthang of Kangpokpi Police attended the function as Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.

Pastor Lhunkhohao, Advisor of Agape Christian Home which is run by Agape Christian English School opened the function with a prayer followed by a various cultural dances, solo from the students.

Speaking at the occasion, Maj. Marathe said that, education is the most important parts of life whether you are form a poor family or a rich family, irrespectively of caste and tribe. So parents, guardians and the students itself should struggle hard to get good education because without education nobody will achieved what they want in their life.
He further said that, Assam Rifles are always there to promote education in every field. At present, we are helping many youngsters in the recruitment of Army but i could say how many of them would be selected when the result declared. We will always help those who needs in the right path.

The major donate some bags of rice and a parcel containing some important materials for the students and assured to help them also in future.

The Principal of Agape Christian English School Mr. Joseph Hekhup said that the school was established in the year 2010 along with the Agape Christian Home. More than 300 students got enrolled in the school for the current year while there are 43 orphanages in the Agape Christian Home run by the school without any sponsor till now.
Mentioned may be made here that, among 43 orphanage who are looked after by the school authority there are 4 disabled children.
