Vice President Interacts with Students of Doon School,
New Delhi, Oct 20 : The Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari interacted with the students of Doon School, Dehradun on wide ranging socio, economic and political issues on the occasion of “77th Founder’s Day celebrations of the Doon School” in Dehradun, Uttarakhand today.
The students interacted with him on varied issues viz. Introduction of nuclear energy; India’s economic prowess; Right to education; Food Security Bill; Secular nature of Parliament; Role of government and opposition; Presidential election; Sachin Tendulkar as Rajya Sabha MP; and Cauvery river water dispute. The interaction was very informative and useful for students.
Later addressing on the occasion, Shri Ansari said that Doon School has a unique place in the country and its alumni are well-placed all over the world. It is a very special and prestigious institution. The students are privileged as their selection process is fair.
The Governor of Uttarakhand Dr. Aziz Qureshi and the Chief Minister Shri Vijay Bahuguna were also present.
