Pensioners’ day held

IMPHAL, Oct 21: The 7th Pensioners' Day-2012 was held today at Lamyanba Shanglen organized by the Manipur State Pensioners’ Union.

The function was attended by Th Kiran Kumar, Director, Treasuries & Accounts, GOM; Huidrom Yaima Singh, president, Manipur State Pensioners' Union; Devabarta, chief manager in SBI; Sheikhai Singsit, senior manager in UBI as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Addressing the function as chief guest, Th Kiran Kumar shared the inconveniences faced by the pensioners while receiving their pensions and urged the government to make the process easier.
