Love triangle killing

IMPHAL, Otober 15: On the adjoining night of October 1 and October 2, a girl was chopped in a place between Tengnoupal Police station Laithockching near Almo Stu Village road.

The victim has been identified as Catherine Lamsakng, 18 years, daughter of Th Kh Simon of New Lamkang Khunthak at present St Pail, school, Liwas Chaning.

Post mortem was carried out at JNIMS and a case has been registered.

While the accused has been identified as JV Wagtrit, aliad Koko, 26, son of J Shiphung Lamkang of Lamoan Khunhwau.

The accused was arrested in October 15 at 5:30 am at a place near Chandel Bazar when the SDPO Moreh J Balaram and OC Tehnoupla Umar Aln and SI KT Dangswa.

CJM Chandel has further remanded to judical custoty on October 22.

It was reported that the first wife Catherine Lamsakng was murdered by her first husband when the husband began to favour the second husband.
