Journalist Shooting competition from July 24
Imphal, July 14: Third edition of Kangjam Sorojini Memorial State Working Journalists Shooting Championship was scheduled from July 24, 2012 at State Shooting Range, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Sorojini Memorial Trust is the main sponsor of three days long competition with Celebrity Media Group Manipur. The competition will be organised under the Manipur Rifle Association. Cash prizes will be presented to the first three top spot winners of the competition.
All the journalists who are working in different media firms in the sate are eligible to participate in the competition. All the concerned details of the competition will get from H. Sadanada, the Managing Trustee , said a release issued by Sorojini Memorial Trust.

Sorojini was a prominent Manipur shooter in sixties. She became Best Shooter of All India Shooting Competition for National Cadet Corps at Delhi in 1967 and 1968. She was Best Shooter of All Assam in Girls' section of National Cadet Corps (NCC) held at Shillong n 1966 .
She had captured number of Gold Medals, Cup, Shield in various positions and she reigned for a span of six years from the 1st All Manipur Shooting Competition held at Moirangkhom Shooting Ranges, Imphal (1966 to 1971).
Meanwhile, according to a release by Manipur Rifle Association, XXII All Manipur Shooting Competition, 2012 will held July 15 at 8 am at Khuman Lampak Shooting Ranges, Imphal. The opening function will graced by M Modhumangol Singh, working president, Manipur Rifle Association and ChIbohal Singh, Sr vice-president, Manipur Rifle Association as chief guest and president respectively.
