Awareness program on World Population Day held
Imphl, July 11: On the occasion of ‘World Population Day’, 35 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organised an awareness programme in the Sajik Valley. Addressing the villagers, RMO 35 Assam Rifles highlighted the importance of reproductive health in which every pregnancy is planned safely without any complications. The RMO emphasized and briefed the locals about the health of the ladies of child bearing age to decrease the Ante partum, Partum and Postpartum mortality and morbidity. The RMO reiterated the pledge by Assam Rifles to provide all necessary assistance to the locals in the development of this area.
Similarly, On the occasion of World Population Day, 37 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) conducted a lecture on population control cum medical camp at Joupi on 11 Jul 12 The medical officer of the Unit delivered a lecture on population control and HIV/AIDS awareness to the villagers. Later, medical team of 37 Assam Rifles diagnosed more than 175 patients from Joupi and adjoining villages and provided medicines. Meanwhile 27 AR also organised an awareness cum lecture programme in Sanatombi high School at Wabagai in which around 100 people attended the same. Represent alive of all Manipur ladies association also attended the lecture and shared their view.
